  • The contribution is original and unpublished and is not available online in any other medium (such as digital libraries, institutional repositories, among others), which may result in the detection of self-plagiarism.

  • - The corresponding author informed the contributions of each of the authors, in the “Comments for the Editor” field.

Author Guidelines

- Original texts may be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

- Submitted papers must be organized in one of the categories of texts:

a) original papers: It is suggested that the manuscript present the following sections: Introduction, Material and Methods (or Methodology), Results and Discussion (can be separated), Conclusion (or Final considerations), Acknowledgements (optional) and References. Sections must be numbered with Arabic numerals, except Acknowledgments and References, which are not numbered;

b) review papers: It is suggested that review papers be structured as follows: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion and Conclusion (or Final considerations), Acknowledgements (optional) and References. Sections must be numbered with Arabic numerals, except Acknowledgements and References, which are not numbered; or

c) short communications: short communications must consist of a single text, without subdivision of sections, but including Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion and Conclusion. They may have tables, figures and/or charts.

General formatting standards

- The manuscript must be inserted in the file “modelo.doc” (Template - 2025).

- The text must be written on an A4 size sheet, with Arial font, size 12, justified, with an entry paragraph of 1.25 cm and automatic spacing after the paragraphs, 1.5 line spacing, upper and left margins of 3.0 cm and lower and right of 2.5 cm.

- The maximum number of pages will be 20 for a scientific paper, 20 for a review paper and 8 for a short communication, including tables, tables and figures.

- Figures, tables and charts must be inserted throughout the text, in the position in which they must be published. The figures must have a .jpeg extension and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Images with low resolution or poor quality will not be accepted.

- The abstract must contain up to two hundred words and be written in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish). Citations and bibliographic references must be in accordance with ABNT standards (NBR 10520/2023 and NBR 6023/2018).

The RCI editorial team will not accept the insertion of authors and/or change in the order of authors after the initial submission process.

- It is suggested that the maximum number of authors per proposal should not exceed five.

- The indication of authorship must be attributed only to those who contributed, in a significant way, to the conception and development of the research/manuscript, as set out in the Guide for COPE authors.
