Resumo
A medicina de abrigos no Brasil é uma área emergente da medicina veterinária, focada no bem-estar de animais em abrigos. Este estudo avaliou a eficácia do website “Iniciativa Medicina de Abrigos Brasil - Infodados de Abrigos de Animais” como ferramenta para mapear dados populacionais e promover a ciência da medicina de abrigos. A análise quantitativa, com dados do Google Analytics, revelou uma média de 1.035 visitas mensais e uma taxa de rejeição de 50%, com foco nas páginas iniciais e na biblioteca, sugerindo busca por informações rápidas. A avaliação qualitativa realizada com 35 participantes mostrou que 90% dos entrevistados, principalmente médicos-veterinários, classificaram o site como excelente, com melhores avaliações nas categorias "público" e "precisão". A categoria “estrutura” apresentou a pontuação mais baixa, destacando a necessidade de ajustes em acessibilidade. Conclui-se que o site é uma ferramenta eficaz para disseminação de conhecimentos sobre medicina de abrigos, com boa aceitabilidade pelos usuários e com potencial para se tornar uma referência nacional na coleta de dados sobre a dinâmica populacional de abrigos no Brasil. Contudo, melhorias pontuais, especialmente em acessibilidade e estrutura, são recomendadas para aperfeiçoar a experiência do usuário.
